The customer required a control system capable of regulating compressor speed in synchronization with the expansion valve opening. The project was undertaken to improve system stability, maintain the superheat value, and optimize cooling performance. The system was developed using an Omron CJ2M PLC as the main controller, integrated with a Danfoss EKE 1C module.
The system uses an Omron CJ2M PLC as the main controller for control logic, safety functions, analog sensor readings, and Modbus communication with external devices. The Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) opening is regulated using a Danfoss EKE 1C module. This module automatically calculates and controls the valve opening based on the superheat value, eliminating the need for valve opening adjustment by the PLC control logic.
